Aeroseal duct sealing in Phoenix

Priced from a free duct-leakage measurement

Aeroseal seals leaks in your duct system from the inside, without opening walls or ceilings. It is a different job from cleaning: cleaning removes what is in the ducts, sealing closes the gaps that let conditioned air escape before it reaches your rooms. Because every system leaks a different amount, we measure yours first and quote the exact price from that, before any work begins.

What's included

  • A measured leakage test first

We measure how much your duct system leaks before anything is sealed, so the work is based on a number, not a guess.

  • Sealant applied from inside the ducts

The system is pressurized and an aerosolized sealant is introduced. The particles collect at the edges of leaks and close them from the inside.

  • No tear-out

The gaps are sealed without opening walls, ceilings, or soffits to reach the ductwork.

  • A before-and-after leakage number

The same test is run after sealing, so you can see how much the measured leakage dropped. The result is a number, not a claim.

  • A written record

The measurements and the work are documented and sent to you, the same as every job we do.

Signs you need this

  • Some rooms never reach the temperature the thermostat is set to, while others are fine.
  • The system runs longer than it used to and the far rooms are the worst.
  • You have long duct runs through a hot attic, which is where leaks cost you the most in the Valley.
  • A blower-door or duct test flagged high duct leakage.
  • You are already having the ducts cleaned and want the leaks addressed in the same visit.

When you don't need this

Sealing is not automatic and it is not for every house. If your rooms all reach temperature, the system keeps up, and no test has flagged high duct leakage, you probably do not need this. It also does not fix a system that is undersized, low on refrigerant, or mechanically failing — those are different problems for a licensed HVAC contractor, not something a sealant can solve. And if a duct run is disconnected, crushed, or the insulation is wet or moldy, that needs physical repair first; sealing is for gaps and seams, not for major damage. The free measurement is exactly how we tell the difference, and we will tell you honestly if sealing is not the right answer for your home.

Cleaning and sealing are two different jobs

Most of what we do is cleaning: getting what has built up out of your ducts and dryer vent. Sealing is a different thing entirely. It does not remove anything. It closes the gaps, seams, and small leaks in the duct system that let the air you paid to condition escape before it ever reaches the room it was headed for.

A house can need one of these, both, or neither. Cleaning is about what is inside the ducts. Sealing is about whether the ducts hold the air in. Aeroseal is the method we use for the sealing side.

How Aeroseal works

The idea is simpler than it sounds. We close off the registers and pressurize the duct system, then introduce an aerosolized sealant into the moving air. Wherever air is escaping through a leak, it carries those sealant particles to the edge of the gap, where they collect and gradually close it — from the inside. There is no opening of walls, ceilings, or soffits to get at the ductwork, which is the practical reason the method exists.

Because the whole thing is driven by measured leakage, it comes with numbers on both ends. We measure how much the system leaks before we start and again after we finish, so the result is something you can see rather than take on faith.

Why we quote it instead of publishing a price

Everywhere else on this site there is a flat, published number, because those services are the same job from house to house. Sealing is not. The amount your ducts leak sets how much work there is to do, and that varies too much to put a single honest price on.

So we do the next most honest thing: we measure your system for free, and the exact price comes from that measurement, before any sealing begins. If the measurement shows your ducts are already tight, we will say so, and you will owe nothing for finding out. That free measurement is the same visual estimate we offer on anything — no camera-and-airflow diagnostic fee, no obligation.

What sealing will not do

Sealing closes gaps and seams. It is not a repair for major damage, and it is not a fix for a system that is struggling for a mechanical reason. A disconnected or crushed duct run needs to be physically repaired first. Wet or moldy duct insulation needs to be removed and replaced, which is a contractor’s job. A system that cannot keep up because it is undersized or low on refrigerant has a problem no sealant addresses, and that belongs with a licensed HVAC contractor. We will tell you plainly when what you are describing is one of those, rather than sell you sealing that will not solve it.

What it costs in the Phoenix metro

Duct sealing is not a flat-rate job, because no two duct systems leak the same amount. We start with a measurement of how much your ductwork actually leaks, and that number sets the scope of the work. You get the exact price after the measurement and before any sealing starts. The measurement itself is free and comes with no obligation to proceed.

How the visit works

  1. Free measurement We test how much the duct system leaks and walk you through what the number means. No obligation to go further.
  2. Exact quote The measured leakage sets the scope, and you get the precise price before any sealing begins.
  3. Prepare the system Registers are covered and the equipment is protected so sealant only goes where it should — into the duct leaks.
  4. Seal from the inside The ducts are pressurized and the aerosolized sealant is introduced, collecting at and closing the leaks.
  5. Measure again The leakage test is repeated so the before-and-after numbers are on the record.
  6. Document and hand it over You get the readings and a plain description of what was done.

What makes this different in the Phoenix metro

Attic duct runs leak into the worst possible place

Much of the Valley runs flexible duct through unconditioned attics that get extremely hot. Air lost through leaks up there is air you paid to cool, going somewhere it does you no good.

Long runs in newer two-story stock

Newer two-story homes across the metro have long duct runs to upstairs rooms, and those far rooms are usually the first to suffer when the ductwork leaks.

Cleaning and sealing pair naturally

If you are already cleaning the ducts, the system is open and accessible, which is a sensible time to measure leakage and seal in the same window.

Our standards and the guarantee

The work is done by vetted, insured independent technicians. You hire Proof Vent & Duct, you pay Proof Vent & Duct, and you hold Proof Vent & Duct accountable. Technicians are paid after they upload proof of the work, not before.

Every job produces a before-and-after record: photos, video where it helps, and measured readings. It goes to your phone and stays attached to the job.

The guarantee runs 90 days. If the result is not what we documented, we come back and make it right, or you do not pay for it.

Questions we get from Phoenix customers

What is Aeroseal duct sealing?
It is a method of sealing leaks in your duct system from the inside. The ducts are pressurized and an aerosolized sealant is introduced into the airflow. As the air escapes through leaks, the sealant particles collect at the edges of those gaps and close them, without anyone opening walls or ceilings to reach the ducts.
How is this different from duct cleaning?
Cleaning removes what is inside the ducts. Sealing closes the gaps in the ductwork that let conditioned air leak out before it reaches your rooms. They solve different problems, and you can need one, both, or neither. If you are unsure, the free measurement tells us whether sealing is worth doing at all.
Why don't you list a price for it?
Because no two duct systems leak the same amount, and the amount of leakage sets the scope of the work. Publishing a flat price would mean guessing, and guessing is how people end up with a number that changes on them. Instead we measure your system for free, and you get the exact price from that measurement before any sealing starts.
Do you have to open my walls or ceilings?
No. The sealant works from inside the ducts, so the leaks are closed without cutting into walls, ceilings, or soffits to reach the ductwork. That is the main practical advantage of the method.
Will this fix a room that is always too hot or too cold?
It can help when the cause is duct leakage — air escaping before it reaches that room. It will not help if the cause is something else, like an undersized system, a refrigerant problem, or a disconnected duct run. The measurement is how we find out which situation you are in, and we will tell you honestly if sealing is not the fix.
Can you clean and seal in the same visit?
Often yes, and it can make sense, because the system is already open and accessible during a cleaning. We would clean first and seal second. The measurement still comes first, so you know whether sealing is worth doing before we schedule it.
Is the measurement really free?
Yes. The duct-leakage measurement and the quote that comes from it are free and carry no obligation to proceed. If the numbers say your ducts are tight enough already, we will tell you, and you will have paid nothing to find out.
