Furnace cleaning in Phoenix
Priced from a free visual estimate
A cleaning-only furnace service for the Phoenix metro: the blower wheel, the cabinet, and the components we can safely clean. We remove the dust that builds up on the blower and inside the cabinet and document it with before-and-after photos. We do not touch the burners, the gas train, or the heat exchanger — that is licensed HVAC work, and we will tell you who to call if it is what you need.

What's included
-
Blower wheel cleaning
The squirrel-cage blower is where dust cakes onto the blades and cuts airflow. We clean it down to the metal.
-
Cabinet cleaning
The inside of the furnace cabinet is cleared of accumulated dust and debris.
-
Accessible components
The parts we can reach and clean safely, without disassembling anything that carries a safety function.
-
Before-and-after photos
Documented the same as every job, so you can see what came off.
Signs you need this
- Visible dust caked on the blower wheel or inside the furnace cabinet.
- You are already having the ducts or AC coil cleaned and want the air handler side done too.
- The blower looks heavily loaded when you change the filter.
When you don't need this
If your furnace cabinet and blower are clean, you do not need this, and cleaning will not improve a furnace that is having a mechanical or safety problem. Anything involving the burners, the gas connection, the ignition, or the heat exchanger is outside what we do — that is licensed HVAC work, and a sealant or a vacuum is not the answer to it. If you smell gas, or the furnace is short-cycling, not igniting, or throwing error codes, that is a call to a licensed HVAC contractor and, for a suspected gas leak, to your utility, not to us.
What this is, and what it is not
This is a cleaning service for the parts of a furnace that get dirty rather than the parts that need servicing. Over time the blower wheel cakes with dust and the inside of the cabinet collects debris, and both are things we can clean and document. That is the whole job.
What it is not is a furnace tune-up, a safety inspection, or any work on the combustion side. We do not touch the burners, the gas train, the ignition, or the heat exchanger. Those carry real safety consequences and they are licensed HVAC work. We clean; we do not service. If the combustion side is what you need looked at, that is a different trade, and we will tell you to call a licensed HVAC contractor rather than pretend a cleaning covers it.
Why the blower matters
The blower wheel is a squirrel cage of small blades, and dust cakes onto those blades the way it does on a fan you have not cleaned in years. Loaded up, it moves less air, which the rest of the system feels. It is also simply the dirtiest reachable part of most air handlers. Cleaning it down to the metal is the core of this service, and it is the before-and-after photo people find most convincing.
When to skip it
If the blower and cabinet are clean, there is nothing here for you to buy. And if the furnace is having an actual problem — not igniting, short-cycling, throwing codes, or anything involving a gas smell — that is not a cleaning problem. Stop, and call a licensed HVAC contractor, or your gas utility if you suspect a leak. We would rather lose the booking than have you treat a safety issue as a cleaning.
What it costs in the Phoenix metro
Furnace cleaning is not a flat-rate job, because access and how dirty the blower and cabinet are vary a lot from one furnace to the next. We look first, at no cost, and quote the exact price before any work starts. If the blower and cabinet are already clean, we will tell you, and you will have paid nothing to find out.
How the visit works
- Confirm the scope at the door We show you what we clean and what we do not touch before we start.
- Power down and open the cabinet The system is shut off and the cabinet is opened for access.
- Clean the blower and cabinet The blower wheel and cabinet interior are cleaned of caked dust and debris.
- Reassemble and document Everything goes back as it was, and the before-and-after photos go to your phone.
What makes this different in the Phoenix metro
Fine desert dust loads the blower
Valley homes pull in fine dust year-round, and it collects on the blower wheel and inside the cabinet over time.
Pairs with duct and coil cleaning
The air handler, ducts, and coil are one air path, so cleaning the furnace side often makes sense alongside them.
Our standards and the guarantee
The work is done by vetted, insured independent technicians. You hire Proof Vent & Duct, you pay Proof Vent & Duct, and you hold Proof Vent & Duct accountable. Technicians are paid after they upload proof of the work, not before.
Every job produces a before-and-after record: photos, video where it helps, and measured readings. It goes to your phone and stays attached to the job.
The guarantee runs 90 days. If the result is not what we documented, we come back and make it right, or you do not pay for it.

Questions we get from Phoenix customers
- What does furnace cleaning include?
- The blower wheel, the cabinet interior, and the components we can clean safely. It is a cleaning service: we remove built-up dust and document it, and we do not disassemble or service anything that carries a safety or combustion function.
- Do you clean the burners or the heat exchanger?
- No. Burners, the gas train, ignition, and the heat exchanger are licensed HVAC work with real safety implications, and we do not touch them. We clean; we do not service combustion components. If that is what you need, we will tell you to call a licensed HVAC contractor.
- Is this the same as a furnace tune-up or inspection?
- No. A tune-up or safety inspection checks combustion, gas pressure, and the heat exchanger, which is licensed HVAC work. This is a cleaning of the blower and cabinet only. If you need the combustion side checked, that is a different trade and we will point you to it.
- Can you do this with duct or AC cleaning?
- Yes, and it often makes sense because the furnace, ducts, and coil share one air path. If you are already cleaning that system, cleaning the blower and cabinet at the same time is efficient.
- What if I smell gas?
- Leave and call your gas utility, then a licensed HVAC professional. A gas smell is an emergency and it is not something a cleaning company handles. We would rather you make that call than book us.
- How often would this need doing?
- Only when the blower and cabinet are actually dirty, which depends on your filters, your household, and how much dust the home pulls in. It is not a service to buy on a fixed schedule.
